Welcome to the Northwest Ohio Health Information Management Association website. Our goal for this website is to offer our membership state-of-the-art updates on educational offerings, projects in progress, legislative issues, and other newsworthy information impacting our profession.
NWOHIMA is a non-profit organization composed of credentialed and non-credentialed health information professionals, students, and commercial members.
OUR PURPOSE:
To promote the art and science of health information management and to improve the quality of comprehensive health information for the welfare of the public in the Northwest region of the state of Ohio.

Excellence in the management of health information for the benefit of patients and providers in Northwest Ohio.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
To continually advance the competence of Health Information Professionals in Northwest Ohio.
A MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
We feel that belonging to NWOHIMA provides a vital link between the AHIMA and the OHIMA for our members. It provides an opportunity to participate in educational sessions that provide the ability to obtain CE's required for AHIMA credential maintenance. Networking with other health information professionals provides an avenue to voice concerns or provide information on items of interest to fellow professionals.
